March 4, 2023: "The Role of the Church in Addressing the Legacy of Slavery and Its Aftermath"This conference is a follow-up to the "Apology for the Sin of Slavery" that was held earlier this month. Several ULC community members participated in this significant and moving event. Over 150 people attended that conference where members of the Greater Lansing African American community received the apology from white church members and also shared their reactions and experiences. Read full apology here. It was very moving and meaningful. Contact Vicki Anderson via the church office if you would like to carpool to the conference from the ULC parking lot.
