Children in Worship
Children are important to us here at ULC and we’re dedicated to providing a strong foundation for their lifelong faith formation. When we return to in person worship, we invite you and your children to worship, learn, and grow together toward the front of the Sanctuary.

Consider the “Three E’s” that help us welcome a child’s participation in worship:
- Educate: It is our joy and hope that children will feel welcome to worship in ways that uniquely appeal to their cognitive development. Each week a variety of books related to the theme of the day, as well as “Celebrate!” inserts that help children follow along with the liturgy, are provided.
- Engage: Being up front is a great way for children to see, hear, learn, and participate in worship! Each week there will be a variety of different ways to capture the imagination of our children through the sharing of scripture, music, dancing, coloring pages, puzzles, and more.
- Equip: By providing a dedicated place for children in worship, they are better able to concretely understand their value as a child of God, and to know, “There’s a place for me here.”
