High School Youth
The ULC youth group is composed of high school students (grades 9-12). We get together for mission trips, and social and service activities throughout the year. High school youth attend various local and national gatherings throughout Michigan and the United States. To offset the costs of these trips, our youth organize congregational and community fund-raising projects and park cars for MSU home football games.
On Sunday mornings, Senior High youth explore their faith in-depth with SparkHouse “Echo the Story.” Using stories from Creation to the formation of the church, our youth and their leaders will engage in “reimagining the Bible” by using a variety of methods in storytelling, creative reflection, and dialogue to retell the story of faith.
At the conclusion of their senior year all of our high school seniors receive prayer quilts lovingly created by members of our Prayers and Squares Quilt Ministry.
